Arkport CSD Families, a spectator bus will be available for students in grades 7-12 to transport them to The Blue Cross Arena in Rochester in support of our AC Boys Varsity Basketball Team as they play in the Section V Championship Game this Saturday, March 2! For more information and to sign up to ride the bus, please see Ms. Dwyer in Student Services. This is an exciting event and we're encouraging our students to come out and support our boys team. They haven't made it to a sectional championship since 1996 for Arkport and 1999 for Canaseraga!

Before mid-winter recess, students enjoyed some treats! They had sweet sapphire grapes, tootie fruity Jello with conversation hearts on Valentines Day and cinnamon roll French toast casserole for Friday's breakfast. A sweet way to roll into break!

Recently fourth grade students visited Swain Ski Resort for the annual physical education learn-to-ski field trip. The 18 first time skiers learned how to put on their equipment, turn and stop, ride the chair lift and then use those skills on the slopes!
We’d like to thank: ACS administration and transportation for making this field trip possible, Swain staff and instructors for being organized and ready to support our students, and the parent-volunteers who gave their time to teach our new skiers. It was a great day for all!

Today is SRO Appreciation Day! If you see Deputy McCoy and Tripp today, please thank them for all they do to keep our school community safe.

ACS students Jacob Bacon and Harper Davis were part of 10th and 11th grade students from regional schools invited to participate in a Career Day at Alfred State College’s School of Applied Technology. At this event, students participated in a variety of stations in automotive technology, auto body, masonry, heavy equipment and culinary arts. They raced to replace a tire quickly, “painted” a car using a water-filled sprayer, built a brick wall, operated heavy equipment and made pizzas or decorated cupcakes – and also learned about welding, CNC machining and electrical. A fun, busy and educational day for all!

Don't forget to STOP and thank our school crossing guard, Heather Smith, for all she does!

2024 ACS Spelling Bee!

Last week Joe Woodvine, an Arkport student studying culinary arts at GST BOCES, interned with the ACS food services department. Joe cut and cupped fresh fruits and vegetables, served, stocked, refilled items and cleaned. Thank you, Joe, for all of your hard work!
