Mrs. Fox’s and Ms. James’ first grade classes are working hard to improve their reading fluency. After independent reading of non-fiction stories about animals, they celebrated with a polar bear and pjs party. In addition to having lunch in their classroom, they saved polar bears trapped in the ice! Keep up the good reading, first grade!

Congratulations Ethan and Haley!

ACS alumni, Braydon Brewster, Jenna Franklin, Logan Howe and Yasmine Ford, spoke to this year’s senior class about the transition to college. They answered questions about dorm life, expectations, clubs, balancing sports and classes, what they wish they knew — even what to bring when packing. Thank you to the ACS alumni for preparing this very helpful presentation!

Congratulations to Shannon Spoth and Hannah Franklin! Their artwork was accepted into the RIT Student Art Exhibition and will be on display in the Bevier Gallery until Feb. 3. Shannon’s bust of Vincent Van Gogh is made of stoneware and was glazed in a style similar to the artist’s painting, “Starry Night." Hannah’s pencil and ink drawing was created observationally and then embellished with Easter eggs (printed pictures).
