Q: How often will the district revisit the decision on the model chosen to ensure things remain safe?
A: The district will revisit the learning model in use monthly. The goal would be to slowly return to 100% in-person learning. The district will decide what instructional model is being used in conjunction with the local health department.

Q: What tools will be available to help guide parents through emotional health in helping children adjust to the ‘new normal’?
A: All PK-12 teachers will be using Schoology so families will have just one system for accessing learning materials, assignments, grades and communications. Schoology will streamline the academic piece so that there is less stress at home surrounding student work. In order to address emotional health, students will be engaging in social emotional learning each week. Our PK-12 school counselor will continue to maintain an online bank of resources which can be accessed by parents or students at any time. Parents/guardians should always feel free to contact their students' teachers or the student services team with questions regarding emotional health.

Q: How will Arkport schools handle drop-off/pick-up?
A: The most significant change to drop-off/pick-up will be that parents and guardians will not be allowed to enter the building. Student drop-off before school will still occur at the PAC. Parents or guardians will be allowed to stay with their child until they reach the second set of double doors.
