The district is pleased to announce its enrichment opportunities for May and June. We’re proud to offer a variety of clubs that will appeal to a variety of interests.

In addition to the clubs listed below, academic support is available from 2:45-5 p.m. for students grades 4-12.

All programs include an after-school snack and transportation.

Parents/guardians must register their child to participate in the enrichment program through FamilyID.  This registration is only required one time per school year. 

Students can reserve their space in a club using the Passport for Good app, which has been installed on their devices. For more information about these programs, contact Mrs. Reynolds at jreynolds@arkportcsd.org.

Global Regents Review (Tuesday/Thursday)

Join Ms. Walker on Tuesdays and Thursdays to study for the Global Regents exam and make sure you’re prepared! Snacks available! Unlimited participation, Open to all students taking the Global Regents Exam in June. This group meets Tuesday and Thursday, May: 17, 19, 24, 26, 31, & June; 2, 7, 9 from 3:30-5 p.m.

Recreational Sports Club (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday)

Looking to get outside and enjoy some fun competitive games? Sign up for the Recreational Sports Club with Mr. Kramer and Ms. Woodworth! Come play a different game each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We will be playing games like volleyball, softball, tennis, basketball, kickball, and much more. This club will be going to James Street Park as well as using Arkport’s own Athletic fields and facilities for recreational activities. All experience levels are welcome! This club is suitable for anyone interested and meets May: 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 31 & June: 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16 from 3:30-5p.m. Open to all students in grades 4 and up.

Esports (Tuesday & Wednesday)

Esports gaming clubs meet weekly on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30-5 p.m. Participants in grades 6-12 are welcome to join. In this club, participants compete as a team or against each other to complete missions using school gaming computers. This club focuses on both the spirit of competition in a friendly environment as well as strategy formation through cooperative play. This club has both a Tuesday group as well as a Wednesday group. Select the day that works best for you to participate when signing up. The Tuesday group meets May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 & June 7, 14 and the Wednesday group meets May 4, 11, 18, 25 & June 1, 8, 15. Open to all students in grades 4 and up.

Gardening Club (Monday)

If you’ve ever heard the saying, “April showers bring May flowers.”, then you know that it’s the time of year to start planting. In Gardening Club, we’ll be using our gardening and art skills to create gifts for Mother’s Day and for school employees. We’ll also be crafting fairy/gnome gardens for you to keep. In addition, we’re hoping to use flowers to make the school grounds look more beautiful. Mrs. Karr and Ms. Ameigh can’t wait to share our love of gardening with you! This group meets May 2, 9, 16, 23 & June: 6, 13 and is open to any students in grades 4-6.

Card and Board Game Club Monday Come join the Monday fun! In this club we will learn new card and board games and play old favorites as well. Games may include BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Euchre, Blokus, Yahtzee, Spoons, Rummikub, Rummy, Phase 10, Exploding Kittens, Risk, Codenames, Sequence, Apples to Apples, Trivial Pursuit, Catan, Ticket to Ride, AND MORE!!! Do you have a favorite? Let us know and we can add that to the excitement! This group meets May 2, 9, 16, 23 & June: 6, 13 and is open to any students in grades 4 and up.

Rocketry Club (Thursday)

Come and learn about rockets with us! In this club we plan, build and launch our very own model rockets. It will end with a bang on our final day when we launch our rockets into the sky! This club is suitable for students in 4th-6th grade and meets May 5, 12, 19, 26 & June: 2, 9, 16

Hiking Club (Friday)

Come explore the great outdoors with Hiking Club! All experience levels are welcome. In this club, members will hike local trails, learn to use a compass and trail map, and enjoy nature. This club meets rain or shine weekly on Friday 3:30-5 p.m. This club is suitable for students in 4th grade and up and meets May 6, 13, 20 and June 3, 10, 17.

Grade 7-8 Grade Finals Review Club (Tuesday)

Are you worried about final exams? Is this the first time you have taken final exams? Do you enjoy studying with others? Do you enjoy playing review games? If so, join the grade 7-8 review during May and June on Tuesdays in room 219. The seventh-grade participants will review from 3:30-4:15 p.m. and eighth-grade participants will review from 4:15- 5 p.m. The Tuesday group meets: May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 & June 7, 14
