Emily Pfaff with her painting

The Arkport CSD high school art department is pleased to announce that eight student pieces have been accepted to the St. Bonaventure University High School Juried Art Exhibition.

High School Art teacher Alison Feenaughty said, “What makes this show unique is that it is very selective. Teachers are limited to 25 submissions and only one entry per student.” A panel of judges then determines what pieces are accepted for the show.

At the opening ceremony on Monday, April 4, senior Emily Pfaff was awarded honorable mention for her acrylic painting on canvas entitled, “Spiritual Projection.” This award is Pfaff’s second art award this school year. She was awarded the “School of Art Illustration Award” at the Rochester Institute of Technology Art Show.

The show will be on view at the Quick Center for the Arts at St. Bonaventure University through May 15 and is open to the public.
