The district is pleased to announce its enrichment opportunities for March and April. We’re proud to offer a variety of clubs that will appeal to a variety of interests.

In addition to the clubs listed below, academic support is available from 2:45-5 p.m. for students grades 4-12.

All programs include an after-school snack and transportation.

Parents/guardians must register their child for the activities of their choice through FamilyID.  

Students can reserve their space in a program using the Passport for Good app, which has been installed on their devices. For more information about these programs, contact your child(ren)’s building principal.

Additional information about signing up will be sent home with students during the second week of February. Students may contact Mrs. Reynolds in room 1137 for more information.

Afterschool Art Club with Mrs. Coleman
Open to grades 4-8
Meets Thursdays in March & April 3:30-4:45 p.m.

Lego Club
Open to grades 4-12
Meets 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, 4/19, 4/26 from 3:30-5 p.m.

Do you like to build things? Are you creative? Come join the Lego Club and build all types of Lego models. The club offers make and take projects and time for creative free building with other Lego enthusiasts!

Community Club
Open to grades 4-12
Meets 3/7, 3/14, 3/28, 4/4, 4/18, 4/25 from 3:30-5 p.m.

Are you committed to helping your community? Come join the Community Club! This club will be doing various activities, some of which include writing letters to people in nursing homes and those serving in the military, making care packages for those serving overseas, and other community-based activities.

Woodworking Club
Open to grades 5-12
Meets 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31, 4/7, 4/21, 4/28 from 3:30-5 p.m.

Come spend your Thursday afternoons in the shop with Mr. Kramer and learn some of the basics of woodworking. You will get to build a project that lets you practice making mitered cuts, sanding, and staining wood pieces. At the end, you will get to take your project home with you to keep! This club has limited availability. Do not wait to sign up!

American Red Cross Babysitter Certification Course & CPR/AED Certification Course
Open to ages 11-18
Meets 3/14, 3/16, 3/23, 3/28, 3/30, 4/4, 4/6, 4/18, 4/20, 4/25, 4/27 from 3:30-5 p.m.

The American Red Cross – the nation’s leader in babysitting classes and childcare training – is coming to Arkport! This club will prepare you to become one of the most capable, trusted and in-demand sitters in your neighborhood. Start your babysitting business on the right foot and learn how to be a safe, professional and reliable sitter. In addition to becoming a Red Cross certified babysitter, you will also obtain certification in First Aid and CPR/AED.

At the end of this course, you will have a certification in the babysitter course, a certification in CPR/AED, a babysitting handbook, and a face mask to assist in CPR. This club is free of charge with limited availability.

Esports Club
Open to grades 6-12
Tuesday Club meets 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, 4/19, 4/26 from 3:30-5 p.m.
Wednesday Club meets 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6, 4/20, 4/27 from 3:30-5 p.m.

Participants compete as a team or against each other to complete missions using school gaming computers. This club focuses on both the spirit of competition in a friendly environment as well as strategy formation through cooperative play. This club has limited availability. Do not wait to sign up!

Kids in the Kitchen
Open to grades 4-6
Meets 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6, 4/20, 4/27 from 3:30-5 p.m.

Come explore your kitchen skills with snack making, taste testing, measuring and more! This club has limited capacity. Please do not request to join this club if you have any food allergies. Thank you for your understanding.

Pickleball Club
Open to grades 4-12
Meets 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, 4/19, 4/26 from 3:30-5 p.m.

This fun club meets weekly for friendly pickleball games and tournaments. New and experienced players are welcome!

Hiking Club
Open to grades 4-12
Meets 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31, 4/7, 4/21, 4/28 from 3:30-5 p.m.

Come explore the great outdoors with Hiking Club! In this club, members will hike local trails, learn to use a compass and trail map, and enjoy nature. This club meets rain or shine. All experience levels are welcome.

Public Speaking Club
Open to grades 5-7
Meets 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31, 4/7 from 3:30-5 p.m.

The Public Speaking Club will be utilizing games, acting and storytelling to build participant’s problem-solving skills, communication skills, confidence, and creativity when communicating with others or in front of a crowd. Participants will have the chance to engage in fun and creative activities such as pitching movie ideas, acting out commercials, storytelling, and playing games together.

Bowling Club
Open to grades 4-12
Meets 3/11, 3/25, 4/8, 4/29 from 3:30-5 p.m.

Participants will take a bus to Hornell Bowl and enjoy the sport of bowling with friends. There will also be the opportunity to learn how to bowl for beginners as well as those that want to improve technique and understanding of the game.

Swim Club
Open to grades 4-12
Meets 3/18, 4/1, 4/22 from 3:30-5 p.m.

Club members will take a bus to Hornell YMCA and enjoy open swim. Beginner and experienced swimmers are welcome!
