The Arkport After School Program has its winter enrichment opportunities are open for registration. A description of the opportunities available can be found below. 

Parents/guardians must complete this online form in FamilyID to give their child(ren) permission to participate.

After completing this form and giving permission to your child, they must log into their class link account

Students can reserve their space in the program each day using the Passport for Good app, which has been installed on their devices. For more information about the program, contact Jenny Reynolds at jreynolds@arkportcsd.org.


Enrichment Opportunities

Grade 3-4 Learn to Swim Club

This is a learn-to-swim club for students in grades 3-4. Members of this club will take after school swim lessons at the Hornell YMCA every Friday in January and February.  This club is for swimmers who want to develop safety and confidence in the water.  Space is limited in this club to maintain a small group lesson setting.  To join, parents/guardians must first give permission in Family ID for their child to participate in after school enrichment (one time per school year) then, students can use their ClassLink account to log into Passport For Good and join this club. Students can be picked up at school at 5 p.m. OR sign up for the late bus each Friday by 1 p.m. if they need transportation home after their swim lesson.

Grade 4-6 Cursive Writing Club

In this club, students in grade 4-6 will learn how to write in cursive.  In addition to practicing cursive writing, members will work on a final take home canvas project.  This club will meet every Tuesday in January and February from 3:30-5 p.m.   To join, parents/guardians must first give permission in Family ID for their child to participate in after school enrichment (one time per school year) then, students can use their ClassLink account to log into Passport For Good and join this club.Students can be picked up at school at 5 p.m. on Tuesday OR sign up for the late bus each Friday by 1 p.m. if they need transportation home after their club.

Academic Support Services

Academic Support Services are available forstudents in fourth grade and beyond. This club meets Monday-Thursday from 2:45 to 5 p.m.  To join, parents/guardians must first give permission in Family ID for their child to participate in after school enrichment (one time per school year) then, students can use their ClassLink account to log into Passport For Good and join this club.  Participants should register each day they plan to attend and be sure to sign up for the late bus by 1 p.m. if they need transportation home at 5pm. 

Grade 5-7 Pet Care Club

This club takes place every Monday in January and February from 3:30-4:15 p.m. for students in grades 5-7.  In this club, members will learn about dog and cat breeds, proper grooming, teeth cleaning, and nail clipping.  As well, they will learn to identify poisonous plants and food. Last, members will review basic obedience and function of different types of collars and leashes. Pet care will also include learning about various animals such as birds, guinea pigs, rats, and gerbils. To join, parents/guardians must first give permission in FamilyID for their child to participate in after school enrichment (one time per school year) then, students can use their ClassLink account to log into Passport For Good and join this club.  Participants should be sure to sign up for the late bus by 1 p.m. if they need transportation home.  Since this club ends before the late bus departs at 5 p.m., participants taking the late bus will also need to join the Academic Support Club and wait there unless they are being picked up at 4:15 p.m.

Grade 7-12 Pet First Aid Club

This club takes place every Monday in January and February from 4:15-5 p.m. for students in grades 7-12.  In this course, participants will learn basic pet first aid for cats and dogs- safety and handling, create first aid kits, and learn procedures for taking temperatures, pulses, CPR, and safely transporting animals. At the conclusion of this club, participants will be able to take the American Red Cross Pet First Aid Course to earn certification. To join, parents/guardians must first give permission in FamilyID for their child to participate in after school enrichment (one time per school year) then, students can use their ClassLink account to log into Passport For Good and join this club. Participants should be sure to sign up for the late bus by 1 p.m. if they need transportation home.   Participants may also consider joining the Academic Support Club as a quiet place to work until this club begins unless they plan to leave school and return for the 4:15 p.m. start time.

Grade 4-12 Bowling Club

This club takes place every Wednesday in January and February from 3:30-5 p.m. for students in grades 4-12.  Participants will take a bus to Hornell Bowl and enjoy the sport of bowling with friends.  There will also be the opportunity to learn how to bowl for beginners as well as those that want to improve technique and understanding of the game.  To join, first parents must give permission in FamilyID for their child to participate in after school enrichment (one time per school year) then, students can use their ClassLink account to log into Passport For Good and join this club.  Participants should be sure to sign up for the late bus by 1 p.m. if they need transportation home, otherwise, parent pick up will be at the school at 5 p.m.  *Important:  Due to bus constraints, it is possible that this club may not return to the school until 5:15 p.m. on some occasions as we have limited drivers at this time.

Grade 6-12 Esports Tuesday and Wednesday Club

Esports gaming clubs, meet weekly on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30 to 5 p.m.  Participants in grades 6-12 are welcome join.  In this club, participants compete as a team or against each other to complete missions using school gaming computers.  This club focuses on both the spirit of competition in a friendly environment as well as strategy formation through cooperative play. This club has limited space due to limited computer systems and often has a waiting list. To join, parents/guardians must first give permission in FamilyID for their child to participate in after school enrichment (one time per school year) then, students can use their ClassLink account to log into Passport For Good and join this club. If the student does not have a preference, they may select both days and one day will be assigned to them. Students can be picked up at school at 5 p.m. OR sign up for the late bus each Friday by 1 p.m. if they need transportation home.
