Ski Club registration open; discounted rates available through Nov. 15 

The district is excited to announce that the Ski Club will be returning for the 2021-22 school year. Ski Club is open to Arkport students in grades 4-12 and takes place at the Swain Ski Resort in Swain, NY. 

Ski Club Discounts 

Ski Club members are encouraged to register and purchase passes through https://swain.com/clubs/ before Nov. 15. Members who register before Nov. 15 are guaranteed the best price and will have their passes sent directly to the school district. Members who register after Nov. 15 will have to pick up their passes directly at the resort.  

Ski Club discounts are also available for all family members of students. Make sure you choose the Arkport Ski Club from the drop down menu at check out. 

Meeting dates and optional transportation 

Currently, the club is scheduled to meet as a group on Jan. 7, Jan. 14, Jan. 21, Jan. 28, Feb. 4 and Feb. 11. 

Students grades 4-12 are eligible to ride a bus from the district to the resort on these dates, but this is not required to get the discount or be a part of the club. Arkport students who would like to join Ski Club for the 2021-22 school year are encouraged to sign up before Nov. 15. 

A note about lessons 

New skiers are strongly encouraged to work with staff at the Swain Resort to attend ski lessons prior to joining the Ski Club at their first meeting in January. 

Additional information 

Students who are interested in joining Ski Club should pick up a copy of the 2021-22 Ski Club information packet and checklist and  Rental Agreement in either the Elementary Office, Student Services, or print copies from the links. This checklist outlines additional paperwork that may need to be completed and ways to stay informed with Ski Club happenings.
