Students in the Arkport Central School District will receive free school meals until further notice, as part of a nationwide program that will help support children’s access to nutritious meals while minimizing potential exposure to the novel coronavirus (COVID–19). The extension of free meals, which was originally slated to end Dec. 31, was recently announced by the New York State Education Department and U. S. Department of Agriculture.
All student accounts have been updated to reflect this adjustment. All school meals will be free; ala carte items will still be provided, at an additional cost. Any money paid and/or charges that have been accrued since September, will be credited back to each students’ account.
