Each year, one or more seats on the Arkport Board of Education become available as current members' terms come to an end. Incumbent members may choose to seek re-election, and any eligible district resident is welcome to run for an open seat. This year, there is one open seat.
Candidates are required to gather signatures of endorsement from district residents in order to appear on the ballot. Signature petitions are currently available upon request.
Completed petitions must be returned to the District Clerk no later than Monday, April 20. For more information or to obtain a petition, please contact District Clerk Meghann Khork at mkhork@arkportcsd.org.
The school board election and budget vote will be held on Tuesday, May 19.
