In Feb., our grade 4 class traveled to Swain Ski Resort for the annual physical education learn-to-ski field trip.
We were excited to have 28 first-time skiers participate. Throughout the day, students learned how to properly put on their ski equipment, practice turning and stopping, ride the chairlift, and apply the skills from their lesson out on the slopes.
A sincere thank you to the staff and instructors at Swain for their organization and dedication to supporting our students.
We are also grateful to the parent and high school student volunteers who generously gave their time to assist and encourage our new skiers. Their support made a big difference. Lastly, thank you to the many people at ACS and GST BOCES that helped make this field trip possible!
