Thanks to a Whole Kids Garden Grant, students are already seeing the benefits of new Grow Towers recently installed at the school.
The Grow Towers are now in use, and students have begun harvesting fresh lettuce grown right on campus. The hands-on project gives students a unique opportunity to learn about sustainable agriculture, food systems, and plant science in a real-world setting.
Students in the Ag Engineering class played a key role in the project by assembling the towers, gaining practical experience while helping bring the growing system to life. From construction to cultivation and harvest, the initiative highlights collaboration across programs and grade levels.
