2024-25 budget

During its regular meeting on April 17, the Arkport Board of Education voted unanimously to adopt a proposed $14,487,248 budget for the 2024-25 school year. A detailed breakdown of the budget will be arriving in residents' mailboxes in the coming weeks.

The proposed spending plan represents an increase of $715,201, or 5.19%, over the current year. The district remains committed to providing a high-quality education and resources for all students.

Under this proposal, the tax levy would increase an estimated 2%, which is below the district’s maximum allowable limit. Because the tax levy increase remains below the district’s allowable limit, as determined by the state’s tax “cap” formula, a simple majority of voters (50% + 1) is needed to pass the budget.

District residents will vote on the proposed 2024-25 school budget on Tuesday, May 21, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the small gymnasium.

Board of Education Election

On May 21, voters will elect one member to the Arkport Board of Education to serve a five-year term beginning July 1, 2024.

Budget Hearing

All are welcome to attend the public hearing that will be held on Tuesday, May 14, at 6 p.m. in the Arkport Board of Education room.
