Dave Warren

Interim 7-12 Principal

The Arkport Central School District Board of Education appointed David Warren, a long-standing educator, as Interim 7-12 Principal at their August 16 meeting. Mr. Warren succeeds Koby Hahn who left the position to pursue another opportunity.

A resident of Spencer, Mr. Warren served as the principal of Watkins Glen Middle School for two years and Watkins Glen High School for 11 years. Before beginning his administrative career, he taught math for 25 years for the Watkins Glen Central School District and the Bradford Central School District. He also served as department chair and coached boys and girls basketball, baseball, soccer and cross country.

Retired as a full-time educator in 2014, Mr. Warren has held several interim administrative positions for various school districts including Campbell-Savona, Watkins Glen, Addison and Spencer Van-Etten.

“I am very excited to join the Arkport team and to help the district in any way that I can,” said Mr. Warren. “I thoroughly enjoy being back in school. It’s a good feeling to be able to meet the needs of the district.”

Anticipated to be with Arkport CSD for several months, Mr. Warren will serve as Interim 7-12 Principal until the district is able to fill the position permanently. “With many years as an administrator, Mr. Warren’s experience and background will serve Arkport well during this transition period,” said Superintendent of Schools Jesse Harper.

Mr. Warren attended SUNY Oneonta where he earned a bachelor’s degree in education with a minor in mathematics. He also earned a Master of Education from Elmira College and completed course work for School Administrator/Supervisor at SUNY Cortland.
