Wolfgruber Family Memorial Scholarship - $1,000.00 Scholarship A scholarship in memory of Paul “Wink” Wolfgruber, Jr. (who attended ACS with the Class of 1965 and who lost his life in a motorcycle accident during the summer before his senior year), brother Kurt Wolfgruber, class of 1968 and their father Dr. Paul J. Wolfgruber (a local physician for many years in the Arkport area) has been established in the amount of $1,000 ($500.00 a year for two (2) years). Eligibility This scholarship is available to any senior from ACS who has an interest in pursuing a medical career while attending a two (2) or four (4) year college.

Jack Wraight Memorial Scholarship - $500.00 Scholarship A scholarship in the memory of Jack Wraight, past administrator, educator and coach at Arkport Central School has been established by his family and friends in the amount of $500.00. Eligibility This scholarship in available to any senior pursuing a career in education with a two (2) or four (4) year college or any senior who will be seeking additional training in a trade field such as welding, electrician, plumber, construction etc.… Special consideration will be given to any applicants who were reliable participants in athletics and who has represented themselves and their school well.

Canisteo Valley Historical Society Scholarship - $300.00 Scholarship A scholarship from the Historical Society is being given to any senior who has a love of history or who will be majoring in History in college or has a financial need. Eligibility Any senior attending a two (2) or four (4) year college majoring in history or indicates their love of history.

The Donald Stauring Service Award - $500.00 Scholarship The Donald Stauring family is providing a scholarship in memory of their father, a US Army veteran and a member of the NYS Army National Guard for 35 years. Donald was active with the Boy Scout Troop 16, coached Little League and served in his local church. This scholarship will be given to any student entering the US military, the fire service or criminal justice programs. Eligibility Any senior enlisted into the military, fire service or criminal justice program within three (3) month of graduation. Documentation must be provided of acceptance into program entering before scholarship is issued.

Grand View Canine Cares Scholarship - $250.00 Grand View Canine Cares is providing a scholarship to a senior who has shown a desire to better the world for animals and is either pursuing a career working directly with animals after graduation, or is going to a trade school, or enlisting in the military. Eligibility Applicant must submit one (1) non-family reference that can attest to the volunteer work, and/or to other acts of working with animals in a positive matter. A well written, heart felt essay on why working with animals has helped you with your chosen path must be submitted. This scholarship will be awarded in September 2020 The Kemp Family Memorial Scholarship - $400.00 The family members of Frederick Kemp, class of 1967 and Julie Kemp Byron, class of 1972 are proud to provide this scholarship to a senior in the ACS class of 2020. Eligibility Any seniors attending college, skilled program or going right out into the work force are eligible to apply. Applicant should provide an essay showing that they have the same qualities that Fred and Julie were know for; love of sports, dedication to family, community and country, being a hard worker and a have a positive attitude.

Arkport Alumni Association Scholarships The Arkport Alumni Association is offering several scholarships to graduating seniors. Amounts of scholarships offered to be determined based on number of applications submitted and alumni scholarship donations received. Eligibility (Any of the following) 1. Any senior who is attending a two (2) or four (4) college is eligible to apply. 2. Any senior attending a trade school such electrical, welding, cosmetology etc. is eligible to apply. 3. Any senior going out into the work force after graduation is eligible to apply,

The Myrtle King Crissey Memorial Scholarship - $500. Mrs. Crissey was a member of the ACS class of 1952. She had a PhD. in Education from the University of Alabama and was a Project Director in an ABHFS program where her responsibilities included preparation of Black Hawk Flight Simulators for several branches of the military. In memory of her sister, Helen King Beveridge is providing a $500 scholarship to an ACS senior. Eligibility: This scholarship is available to a senior entering the field of education.
Guideline For Applying For Scholarships Applications must be submitted and MUST include all required information in a PDF document. Any applications not including the following information WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED! New York State Credit Union League Scholarship
The applicant must be a member in good standing of a participating New York credit union who meets all of the following criteria:
• The member is a college-bound high school senior at the time of application.
• The member is attending college for the first time in the fall of 2020.
• The member will be enrolled in either a two- or four-year accredited educational institution.
• The member agrees to use any scholarship funds awarded by January 31, 2021, at an accredited educational institution only.

Washington Crossing Foundation Scholarship
Scholarships of $500 to $5,000 for students planning careers in government service, for study at the college of the recipient's choice. (Other awards in amounts as the judges may determine.)
Competition open to all high school seniors who are U. S. citizens and are planning careers of service to the United States in local, state, or federal government. All awards are for one year.

The Empire State Potato Growers Inc. is pleased to provide a scholarship for undergraduate students, residing in New York state, pursing college studies benefiting the agricultural industry. All applications will be considered.
It will be provided at the rate of $500 per academic year, for up to 4 consecutive years of undergraduate education. Full-time academic study in the field of agriculture must be pursued.
Selection will be based on the following criteria: Agricultural-related areas of undergraduate study (i.e. Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Crop & Soil Sciences, Entomology, Food Sciences, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Economics), academic achievement, leadership abilities and NYS residency.

This new program is working to keep young adults in agriculture by giving them the opportunity to earn a $1,500 scholarship to further their education. At the same time, raising awareness of the diverse career opportunities in our industry.

Society of Women Engineers Scholarship Application
The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to those who identify as a female/woman and are studying community college, baccalaureate, or graduate programs in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science. In 2019, SWE awarded nearly 260 new and renewed scholarships valued at over $810,000.
Applicants complete an application and are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible. Applications will be available for the 2020-2021 academic year:

AFDSNY awards four (4) scholarships a year for $1,500 each, to graduating high school seniors who plan to attend a two (2) or four (4) year institution of higher education and will be pursuing a community service related career. This may include but is not limited to fire service, EMS, nursing, social work, health related services, teaching, paramedic, etc.
All applications will be evaluated by the Scholarship Committee of the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York. Financial need academic achievement and community service are all factors in the selection process. All decisions of the Committee are final. Awards shall be made directly to the winning recipients, awards will only be made upon successful completion of the first semester and upon proof of registration for the second semester at an accredited institution of higher education.
2020 New York Farm Bureau Agricultural Youth Scholarship
· Applicant Guidelines
¨ 2020 graduating high school seniors who will continue their education to prepare for a career in some way connected to the diverse agricultural industry.
¨ Live or work on a farm or be involved with agriculture via any avenue.
¨ Family Farm Bureau membership or student Farm Bureau membership is required and may accompany application.
· Process and Procedure
¨ Students are required to complete an application which is a fillable pdf and submit a brief 300-500-word essay discussing an issue facing agriculture in their county, explaining how they think NYFB can support members who may deal with this issue.
Barbara Wheeler Schneider Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded each year to an Arkport Central School senior based upon their scholastic ability and demonstrated concern for their fellow classmates.
Applicants must submit a typed summary of why they feel they should be considered for the award.
You should also include service type activities that you have done in school, in your church, with the scouts, the community or for any person or group which would "demonstrate concern by the individual."

Each year, we look for the next generation of aspiring workers who will work smart and hard. The Work Ethic Scholarship Program doesn’t focus on test scores, grades, or grammar. It’s about the people who share our values and understand the importance of work ethic, personal responsibility, delayed gratification, and a positive attitude.
Hornell Rotary Club Scholarship
This scholarship is available to any senior who plans to attend college. All applicants must submit a statement of character from one of their current teachers and/or someone who is acquainted with your community service activity. Submit a typewritten statement in your own words on your reason for applying for the Rotary award. Add information on your background and activities in school and community, especially as they relate to the Rotary mission of "Service Above Self." Submit application to the Student Services Office by the deadline.

Firemen's Association of the State of New York (Gerard J. Buckenmeyer FASNY Volunteer Scholarship)
The Firemen’s Association of the State of New York will award 25 $1,500 scholarships to high school seniors entering college.
The awards recognize exemplary members of the youth fire service who also contribute to their communities.
The Gerard J. Buckenmeyer FASNY Volunteer Scholarship program is made possible each June through the generous donations of individuals, fire departments and auxiliaries. The awards recognize exemplary members of the youth fire service who also contribute to their communities.
Hornell Kiwanis Club Business Scholarship
The Hornell Kiwanis Club will give two business scholarships. The recipients will be chosen from applications received from BOCES and other area high schools. Send a student narrative or resume with application. The student must be interested in obtaining a business degree and have taken business courses in high school such as accounting, marketing, and sales, business, typing. The student must be accepted by a school for further study toward a business career.

Arkport Faculty Association Scholarship
The Arkport Faculty Association will award a $1,000 scholarship to one (1) Arkport Central School District graduating senior entering the field of education or a health profession. The award will be paid in two $500 installments.

Arkport PTSO Character Award
The Arkport PTSO gives $300.00 to a graduating senior that contributes positively to our school and community, genuinely cares about people, is self-disciplined and works to the best of their ability.
- The student must intend to continue their education after high school including a 4-year college, 2-year college, technical degree, trade or vocational school training or part-time students pursuing a degree while working.
- Must be a graduating senior
- Must have a GPA of 80 or higher
- Must have good attendance
- Completed application including student's self-rating form
- One letter of recommendation
Steuben Citizens Federal Credit Union Membership Scholarship (formerly VAC)
The Board established this scholarship in 2001 and has been able to offer several $500 scholarships every year since. We hope to continue this tradition to help our college-bound members with their continued educational expenses. The Board of Directors at Steuben Citizens Federal Credit Union is pleased to offer our young members the opportunity to apply for our membership scholarship.
Criteria to apply:

Farm Credit East awards $1500.00 scholarships each year to qualified students who are commited to a career in agriculture, commercial fishing or the forest products industry. Their decision is based on your essay, experience, course of study and extracurricular activities.

This $1000 scholarship is available to a student that plans to attend Alfred State College. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must attend Arkport, Avoca, Canisteo-Greenwood, Wayland-Cohocton, Hornell or Jasper-Troupsburg school. The application is available in the Student Services Office.

Arlynn Robbins Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is presented in memory of Arlynn Robbins. the recipient of this $1,000.00 scholarship will be chosen based on their well-being, community involvement and future plans. Preference will be iven to a well-rounded high school graduate who exemplifies similar characteristics of Arlynn and those who are very active in their local community.

James ("Rip") Holden Memorial Scholarship - Dansville Fish & Game, Inc.
