GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program
Honoring the legacy and character of our nation’s 40th President, the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program rewards college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with financial assistance to pursue higher education.
Each year, the Program selects numerous recipients to receive a $10,000 scholarship renewable for up to an additional three years – up to $40,000 total per recipient. Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study and may be used for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board. In addition, Scholars are invited to participate in a special awards program.
To be eligible for this award, applicants must:
- Demonstrate at school, at the workplace, and within the community the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship;
- Demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent);
- Demonstrate financial need;
- Be citizens of the United States of America;
- Be current high school seniors attending high school in the United States (students living on U.S. Armed Forces base and homeschooled students are also eligible); and
- Plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study toward a bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.

New York State Credit Union Association Scholarship
The applicant must be a member in good standing of a participating New York credit union who meets all of the following criteria:
The member is a college-bound high school senior at the time of application.
- The member is attending college for the first time in the fall of 2019.
- The member will be enrolled in either a two- or four-year accredited educational institution.
- The member agrees to use any scholarship funds awarded by January 31, 2020, at an accredited educational institution only.

This new program is working to keep young adults in agriculture by giving them the opportunity to earn a $1,500 scholarship to further their education. At the same time, raising awareness of the diverse career opportunities in our industry.

Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Auxiliary Scholarship
Scholarships will be awarded to qualified students matriculating in an associate or bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university in medicine, nursing, or in another health-related field, including dentistry, ophthalmology, and pharmacy.

Society of Women Engineers
SSWE Scholarships support those who identify as a female/woman and are pursuing an ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student program in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science globally. In 2020, SWE disbursed nearly 260 new and renewed scholarships valued at more than $1,000,000!
Applicants complete one application and are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.

The Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York Ned Carter Memorial Scholarship
This $1500 scholarship is for NYS High School Seniors who will be graduating in June. The student must be related to or be a firefighter in an affiliated member organization of the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York and must reside within New York State.
AFDSNY awards four (4) scholarships a year for $1,500 each, to graduating high school seniors who plan to attend a two (2) or four (4) year institution of higher education and will be pursuing a community service related career. This may include but is not limited to fire service, EMS, nursing, social work, health related services, teaching, paramedic, etc.
All applications will be evaluated by the Scholarship Committee of the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York. Financial need academic achievement and community service are all factors in the selection process. All decisions of the Committee are final. Awards shall be made directly to the winning recipients, awards will only be made upon successful completion of the first semester and upon proof of registration for the second semester at an accredited institution of higher education.

This $500 award is for graduating high school seniors who will be entering either a two or four-year college in the fall.

NYS Excelsior Scholarship Program
The Excelsior Scholarship, in combination with other student financial aid programs, allows students to attend a SUNY or CUNY college tuition-free.
Please note that the COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically reduced state revenues and the processing of new applications is pending on Federal assistance, which has been delayed since April. Excelsior Scholarship awards may have to be reduced and/or prioritized for current recipients as provided for under the program.

The Community Foundation inspires philanthropy to make lives better. Their grants and scholarhsips support the people of Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben and Yates Counties in the Southern Tier.
Includes the Ethel Strickarz Memorial Scholarship (Health and Human Services) and the Helen G Schuyler Scholarship (Arts) and others.
